The 2023 presidential election on the basis of the Arabs of Hatay province, one of the provinces where the socio-cultural differences between Sunnis and Alevis can be observed most clearly.While the conservative and Sunni candidate Erdoğan won in all Sunni Arab settlements, the social democratic and Alevi candidate Kılıçdaroğlu won in Alevi settlements.
